Sgt. Brocard gathered both teams and reviewed the situation. “Let’s recap. We’re here because Russell is missing. John found out he’d been released earlier than we told him. When Josh came to check on Russell, he wasn’t here and John hasn’t shown up. Josh, check with Melissa, see if the grandparents had any land on the mom’s side or possibly the dad’s that he may still have. See if she knows any names we can run. What have you guys checked before calling us?”

“We’ve canvassed the complex top to bottom, even knocking on random doors, checking a few restaurants around the area. No sign of him on the grounds outside, the gym, the pool area, or the locker room. Apparently the guard behind the lobby desk came on five minutes before Josh got here and refused to check with the guard he relieved to find out if he saw Russell leave the area,” Mac reported for the SEALs.

“Oh did he now? Diesel, why don’t you go take your aggression out on the guard, let our friend know that if any lives are lost we’ll talk to the DA about holding him as an accessory. That might get his ass into gear,” Brocard ordered Diesel. “Josh when was the last time you spoke with Melissa to see if she’s heard from either person?”

“Just before Highlander here called you, she said she hasn’t seen hide nor hair of either and they aren’t answering their cells.” Josh said.

“All right, let’s have the Captain light a fire under some asses and get ahold of some of the security footage and see if we can find out anything. Josh, when was the last time you spoke to Russell?” Brocard asked.

I talked to him for a few when Highlander called earlier this afternoon to let us know that he’d been released and that he was staying here at the apartment. We set up a lunch date with all of us for tomorrow.”

Joe nodded, confirming Josh’s statement. “I can confirm, Sgt. Brocard. Russell was happy te be out of jail and have his own clothes thanks te Mac. He wanted te grab a shower and a nap since he havenae been able te really sleep in his cell. We offered for him te go with us te the bar but he declined.”

“Yeah that was until we got caught by the easy pussy brigade,” Joker replied.

Joe grimaced as he sneaked a peek at Laura when he heard Sgt. Brocard asked Joker in a skeptical tone, “The who?”

“Jennifer, the administrative secretary from the high school, was at the same bar we all were at earlier. She had several of her friends with her when they saw us walk in. Let’s just say flies on shite would have been jealous with the attention these girls were giving us. Nae matter what we did or said we couldnae get rid of them. We were happy as hell when Josh called,” Joe said quickly.
